Park to meet St. Timothy's for AIS B title Field hockey

Sophomore fullback Alexa Wilder scored two goals to lead Park (6-3-3, 5-0-2) to a 4-0 win over visiting John Carroll (2-4-2, 2-1-2) yesterday in the semifinals of the AIS B Division field hockey tournament.

Park advances to tomorrow's final against St. Timothy's (6-4-3, 5-0-3) at St. Paul's.

Junior Gillian Schreiber scored the only goal 15 minutes into the second half to lead St. Timothy's, 1-0, over host Oldfields (5-7-1, 5-2-1) in the other semifinal. The goal was assisted by Natasha Ampofo.

In the Park game, Wilder opened the scoring on a corner at 14:55, assisted by junior right wing Stacey Pusen. Wilder added her second goal 7:04 into the second half for a 3-0 Bruins lead. Senior captain and halfback Beth Valove scored the second goal 5:10 into the first on a free-hit pass.

Sophomore forward Kara Keith, Park's leading scorer at seven goals and five assists, added the final score on a goal scramble at the 12:00 mark.
