Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Western District -- Anthony Jerome Wigfall, 25, of the 3300 block of Belle Ave., was shot in the chest and leg Monday night in the 2200 block of Reisterstown Road. Mr. Wigfall was listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, said Homicide Detective Donald Ossmus. Mr. Wigfall and a cousin were walking down the street about 7:25 p.m. when they passed two men. When the four men exchanged a few words, two of the men pulled out 9mm handguns and opened fire. At least 11 shots were fired. Two hit Mr. Wigfall, seven hit cars and buildings, and two were unaccounted for. Mr. Wigfall's cousin was not hit. Two men, one wearing a tan coat and the other a blue or black knee-length coat, were being sought.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a North Stricker Street man of $55 in the 200 block of N. Carey St. early Monday.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A collector for the United Insurance Co. of America was robbed of an undisclosed sum Monday by a gunman in the 2300 block of Riggs Ave.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two VCRs and video tapes, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen from a house in the 500 block of N. Carrollton St. Monday by someone who entered through a door.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested two men and were holding them pending charges that they robbed a resident of the 1100 block of E. Hoffman St. of $50 in food stamps Monday afternoon in the 1300 block of N. Mount St.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a North Smallwood Street resident of jewelry and cash, all valued at $748, in the 2200 block of W. North Ave. Monday night.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 200 block of N. Monroe St. of nearly $200 in food stamps Monday night in the 1000 block of W. Fairmount Ave.

AUTO THEFT: Southwestern District -- A 1984 Audi 500S with keys left in its ignition was stolen Sunday from an auto repair shop in the 500 block of Swann Ave.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A typewriter case valued at $25 was stolen Sunday night by someone who entered a house in the 1500 block of Cedric Road through a basement window.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into a truck owned by Baltimore Thermal Windows in the 600 block of S. Catherine St. over the weekend and stole a battery and other pieces of equipment, all valued at $150.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2900 block of Presbury St. through a rear door Monday and stole property valued at nearly $800.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Property valued at $800 was stolen Monday night when someone smashed a window to a 1989 Chevrolet truck in the 1900 block of Frederick Ave.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A North Rosedale Street resident was robbed of $40 Monday night after leaving a 24-hour teller machine in the 1900 block of Bloomingdale Road by a man who stuck a hard object into his back.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Property valued at more than $100 was stolen Monday when someone broke into a car owned by a resident of the 300 block of Stafford Drive while the vehicle was parked in the 1400 block of Poplar Grove St.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1400 block of Poplar Grove St. through a door between Nov. 2 and Monday and stole property valued at $1,000.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 3800 block of Fairhaven Ave. in Curtis Bay Monday through a door and stole silverware, liquor and clothing, all valued at $245.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A mitre saw valued at nearly $200 was stolen from a garage in the 3400 block of Walbrook Ave. over the weekend by someone who broke a lock off a door to get inside.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A gunman robbed two men of money and property over the weekend in the 3100 block of Elmora Ave. One man was robbed of his shoes and money, all valued at $54, the other was robbed of a leather jacket, boots and cash.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Harford Road was assaulted by four men, one with a bottle, in the 2700 block of The Alameda over the weekend. The victim sustained minor injuries to the head and face.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone stole a dog from the back yard of a house in the 3000 block of Chesterfield Ave. over the weekend. The dog, of unknown pedigree, was valued at $300.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Tools valued at $535 were stolen from a car parked in the 2000 block of E. 31st St. over the weekend.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5200 block of Frankford Ave. was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $520, Sunday in the 2700 block of Harford Road by man who struck him over the head with a hard object.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Homestead St. was in the 2600 block of Kennedy Ave. Sunday when a man stole $20 from his grasp after asking him for change.
