Arts Council chosen by CAAM as meeting site

The Howard County Arts Council has been chosen by the Community Arts Alliance of Maryland to play host to its meetings at the Howard Center for the Arts in Ellicott City.

Future meetings are scheduled for January, March and May. CAAM acts as a united voice for the arts, representing all county arts councils in Maryland.

HCAA was chosen as the site because of its central location. Future meetings will be held at the Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City.

At the September meeting, a major topic of discussion was the Maryland States Arts Council's decision to hold back 50 percent of the arts funding to all county arts councils and organizations. Since that time, another 25 percent has been restored.
