Estimates are based on the measured speed of vehicles monitored at 32 stations during the year that ended Sept. 30, 1992. Although the average speed on the points ranked 8th and 9th is identical, traffic on I-83 at Shawan Road is faster because a greater percentage exceeded 65 miles per hour.
