Lt. Gov. Steinberg to address Elks at dinner for charity 0)

Lt. Gov. Melvin A. Steinberg will be the guest speaker Nov. 14 when the Westminster Elks Lodge, at Route 140 and Gorsuch Road, honors the numerous Carroll County charitable organizations that will be receiving aid from the fraternal group this year.

Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m.; Mr. Steinberg will speak at 7 p.m.

* Westminster: Thomas Snider reported that someone removed property valued at $1,925 on Tuesday from a shed at the rear of his residence on West Main Street.

A piece of concrete shattered the side window of an automobile belonging to Norman R. Magin, of East Green Street, on Wednesday. The damage was estimated to be about $300.

Pumpkins stolen from the porch of Charles Horman, of Eckard Court, late Tuesday may have been used to damage the car of Edward M. Ulsch, one block away on Wampler Lane. Mr. Ulsch said the fender of the car was dented when splattered with a pumpkin and damage is estimated at $200. The pumpkins were valued at $25.
