Man snatches bank deposit from employee

A man stole a bank deposit bag from a convenience store employee as she was making a night deposit Monday at a Riviera Beach bank.

According to the police report, the woman was preparing the deposit at the Maryland National Bank in the 8400 block of Fort Smallwood Road at 8:15 p.m. when the robber walked up behind her and shoved her down.

He grabbed the bank bag and ran away, police said.

Police gave no description of the robber.

Pasadena woman raped near Bayside mall

A Pasadena woman reported to police that she was raped Sunday outside the Bayside Square Shopping Center on Fort Smallwood Road.

According to investigators, the woman was talking on a pay phone at the shopping center in the 8900 block of Fort Smallwood Road at 12:15 a.m., when a man punched her in the face and raped her. The rapist is described as a black man in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a black stocking cap, a black shirt and jeans.
