Village board to interview candidates

The Oakland Mills village board will interview candidates this week to replace John Lilly, who resigned from the board Oct. 31.

The board received six applications for the position. Those who applied include: Paul Lubell, David Hatch, Anthony Caldaro, Gary Glisan, Eric Bauman and Bill Kerr.

The board will appoint a new member, possibly by its meeting Tuesday. The term of office runs through next April 30.

Christina Somerville, a senior at Oakland Mills High School, has been appointed to a one-year term that runs through next October as teen adviser to the board.

* Long Reach: 9000 block of Tamar Drive: Someone slashed the right tires to a 1991 GEO Metro on Saturday or Sunday.

9000 block of Tamar Drive: Someone slashed the right tires to a 1992 Hyundai Excel on Saturday or Sunday.

9000 block of Tamar Drive: Someone slashed the tires of a 1982 Ford Escort on Saturday or Sunday.
