Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Western District -- A 38-year-old resident of the 400 block of Poplar Grove St. was shot in the hand Sunday night by a stray bullet while he was in the 2700 block of W. North Ave. The victim was treated at Liberty Medical Center.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A woman was robbed of $40 Sunday night near her home in the 4200 block of St. George's Ave. by a man who struck her in the head with a beer bottle.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A 1988 Mazda was stolen from the 800 block of E. Belvedere Ave. between Sunday night and Monday morning.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into an office at Johns Hopkins University during the weekend and stole a cassette player and several rolls of U.S. postage stamps, all valued at $283.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 6200 block of Pioneer Drive through a rear sliding door over the weekend and stole a police scanner, stereo equipment and coins, all valued at $1,100.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A bike valued at $350 was stolen from a house in the 5200 block of Loch Raven Boulevard Sunday after someone entered through a door.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A purse containing $74 was stolen from a resident of the 5600 block of Pioneer Drive Sunday night by a man who approached her from the rear while she walked near her home.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5200 block of Ivanhoe Ave. was walking in the 1200 block of E. Cold Spring Lane Sunday night when a man approached her from behind and stole her purse containing a small sum of cash.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- The tailgate of a pickup truck was stolen over the weekend while the vehicle was parked outside a nightclub in the 5800 block of Pulaski Highway.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man suspected of raping a woman inside a house in the 4900 block of Wilbur Ave. Saturday night. During the rape, the man struck the woman in the face, breaking her nose.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone broke into the office of the National Wildlife Federation in the 1900 block of Washington Boulevard Sunday night and stole two boxes of T-shirts. A security officer spotted the man running away and recovered the boxes when the man dropped them. The man escaped.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A freezer, TV, bike and stereo equipment, all valued at $1,040, were stolen from a house in the 2500 block of Salerno Place Monday by someone who entered through a a rear door.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 100 block of S. Stricker St. was robbed of $340 Monday morning by a gunman in the first block of S. Calhoun St.

ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Elmtree St. was pistol-whipped by two men during a robbery Sunday morning in the 4500 block of Carter Ave. The men escaped with $100.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men, one with a gun, robbed a resident of the 2200 block of Cedley Ave. of $5 while he walked near his home Sunday morning.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1100 block of W. Saratoga St. of $130 Sunday in the first block of S. Carrollton Ave.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A Harford County man giving a ride to three men early Sunday morning in the 2800 block of Hollins Ferry Road was struck on the head with an unknown object and robbed of $250. The men jumped out of the car and escaped.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A man with a knife robbed a resident of the 1800 block of S. Charles St. of $20 Sunday morning in the 200 block of W. Ostend St.

THEFT: Southern District -- Property valued at $525 was stolen Sunday after someone broke into a 1992 Plymouth while it was parked in the 2600 block of Waterview Ave.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A watch and a VCR, together valued at $770, were stolen from a house in the 700 block of S. Hanover St. over the weekend after someone entered through a window.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone broke into Business Forms Services in the 200 block of Stockholm St. over the weekend and stole $300 from an office safe.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A console telephone valued at $300 was stolen Sunday morning by someone who broke into the Dorguth Methodist Church in the 500 block of Scott St. through a side door.

CUTTING: Southern District -- A warrant has been issued for a man who cut a resident of the 900 block of W. Lombard St. on the hand with a knife during an argument Sunday morning in the 2800 block of Seamon Ave.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 400 block of E. 22nd St. of more than $1,000 Sunday night in the 700 block of Cherry Hill Road.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A Howard County man was robbed of his University of Maryland jacket, valued at $100, early Sunday morning by five men who knocked him to the pavement in the 600 block of Light St.
