Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Carl Anderson, of the 3600 block of Peyton Place, was shot in the left leg by a man he was arguing with outside a telephone booth in the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Anderson walked home and was driven to Baltimore County General Hospital by a relative. Mr. Anderson was treated and released.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A 20-year-old resident of the 100 block of McMechen St. was robbed of a can of Mace, her purse and several books by two men, one with a handgun, Monday evening in the 1400 block of Mount Royal Ave.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a car in the 300 block of Dolphin St. Monday night and stole clothing and fishing equipment, all valued at more than $200.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A TV, two telephones and food, all valued at $700, were stolen from a house in the 2500 block of Linden Ave. Tuesday.

BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Central District -- Police responding to a burglar alarm at Denny's shoe store in the 600 block of W. Lexington St. Sunday arrested a teen-ager and a man attempting to leave with several pairs of tennis shoes and a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver. Charged with burglary were David E. Parker, 32, of the 3000 block of Baker St., and a 17-year-old resident of the 100 block of Willard St.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman walked into the office of Secure parking in the 700 block of E. Pratt St. over the weekend and forced an employee to give up more than $150 from a cash register.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A man assaulted a woman sitting in her car in McDonald's fast-food outlet parking lot in the first block of W. North Ave. Monday afternoon and robbed her of $8.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman robbed a woman of $15 and a payroll check for more than $600 in the 900 block of Hunter St.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke a window to a car in the 300 block of St. Paul St. Tuesday and stole an 11-inch TV and a VCR, all valued at $700.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a house in the 1800 block of Laurens St. Monday by forcing a rear door and stole a 13-inch TV, two telephones and a food blender.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A house in the 500 block of N. Carrollton Ave. was broken into Monday morning by someone who forced a door and stole $60.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Avalon St. scared off a burglar who had broken into the house through the front door about 10 p.m.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A VCR and a remote control device valued at $250 were stolen from a house in the 2400 block of W. Lanvale St. Monday by someone who forced open the kitchen door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A Brooklyn Park man was knocked down and robbed of $10 in the 1800 block of Lauretta Ave. Monday night. Police later arrested Robert Williams, 23, of the 1600 block of Edmondson Ave., and charged him with assault and robbery. He is being held at the police station in lieu of $20,000 bail pending a bail review hearing in District Court.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Kimbereli Johnson, of the 1600 block of W. Fayette St., was injured on Oct. 8 when a man she knows struck her several times with a length of wood in the 900 block of N. Stricker St. Ms. Johnson was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center and released. A 19-year-old man is being sought in connection with the assault.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into Hurtt Developers in the 500 block of N. Stricker St. between Monday night and Tuesday morning by forcing the front door and stole a laser computer system and a 13-inch TV, all valued at more than $4,200.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A 19-inch TV valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 600 block of N. Carrollton Ave. by someone who entered through a rear door.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone broke into a car owned by an out-of-town resident in the 2000 block of Ashburton St. Monday night or Tuesday morning and stole a cassette radio. Also taken were the car's chrome wheels. The equipment was valued at more than $2,000.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men approached an out-of-town resident Tuesday morning in the 1300 block of N. Gilmor St. and stole her purse.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into St. Martin's Church in the first block of N. Fulton Ave. Monday night or Tuesday morning and stole a large quantity of food items from the kitchen.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1500 block of Baker St. of cash and property, all valued at more than $400, Tuesday while she walked near her home.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Wilkens Ave. was walking near his home around 9 p.m. Monday when he was robbed of $15 by a gunman.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man stole an undisclosed sum from the cash register at the Shell food market in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. after an employee opened it to make a sale.
