Man, 20, robbed at gunpoint in front of school

A Brooklyn Park man was robbed at gunpoint while walking along Hammonds Lane early Saturday morning.

Wayne Stuart Soth, 20, told police he was walking east in front of the Brooklyn Park Middle/Lindale Jr. High School at 3:58 a.m. when a westbound car stopped in front of him. Two men got out and approached him.

One of the men displayed a .32-caliber, silver automatic handgun and demanded money.

The men were driving a red hatchback car.

Man toting revolver robs gas station

A Linthicum gas station was robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon by a man brandishing a small revolver.

The man entered the station's sales booth in the 700 block of North Hammonds Ferry Road at 3:37 p.m., walked behind the counter and ordered the clerk to lie down on the floor. The man reached into the cash register and fled.

Man, 27, arrested in drug search

A Brooklyn Park man was arrested Friday night after police found many packages of PCP in his apartment.

Edward Charles Krieger Jr., 27, has been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute.

Members of the Narcotics and Special Operations units discovered the drugs at 11:30 p.m. while executing a search and seizure warrant in the 5800 block of Ritchie Highway.

Brooklyn woman robbed at grocery store

A Brooklyn woman was robbed as she attempted to pay for her groceries at a Brooklyn Park store.

Betty Jean Wade, 33, told police she was approached repeatedly by a man trying to sell her food stamps.

After she picked up the last item on her grocery list at 8:11 p.m., she took out her money and headed toward the cash register.

The suspect grabbed the money from her and ran from the store.

Linthicum man robbed after accepting ride

A Linthicum man was robbed in a gas station parking lot early Saturday after accepting a ride home from two strangers.

Billy Jean Bachman, 28, was walking home from a North Linthicum restaurant with a friend at 12:44 a.m. when two men in a blue Buick sedan asked if he wanted a ride.

Mr. Bachman and his friend were then driven to a deserted parking lot and asked for their money.

After Mr. Bachman, a carpenter, gave them his wallet, he and his companion were told to get out. The two suspects drove north on Route 648 toward Baltimore County.

* Linthicum: A resident of the 100 block of Michael Avenue reported to police that someone broke into her home through the basement door Thursday but did not take anything.

* Brooklyn Park: A man reported that someone broke into his apartment in the 200 block of Southerly Road Wednesday and stole jewelry and other property valued at $584.
