Baltimore City

AUTO THEFT: Northwestern District -- A 1985 Jeep Cherokee owned by a resident of the 1000 block of Wilda Drive in Westminster, Carroll County, was stolen Sunday while parked on the lot of the Reisterstown Road Shopping Center in the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A 12-speed mountain bike was stolen Sunday afternoon from the 6900 block of Dorset Road. The bike, valued at $210, was owned by a resident of the 4000 block of Labyrinth Road.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a Chevrolet owned by a resident of the 4000 block of Oakford Ave. while the vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Dolphin St. last week and stole cassette tapes, a microphone, a TV and a calculator, all valued at nearly $230.

ASSAULT: Central District -- A resident of the 100 block of Aisquith St. was walking in the 300 block of St. Paul St. late Saturday night when a man with a knife forced her into some bushes and tried to rape her. The woman escaped and was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries and released.

ROBBERY: Central District -- An out-of-town resident was in the 800 block of Park Ave. late Saturday night when he was attacked by a man who knocked him to the pavement and stole his wallet containing $40.

BURGLARY: Central District -- A computer game and several game cartridges valued at $200 were stolen from a house in the 800 block of Harlem Ave. Saturday afternoon after someone gained entry by knocking a hole in the wall of a building next door.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a car in the first block of S. Paca St. Saturday evening and stole bowling equipment, fishing tackle and construction equipment, all valued $350.

THEFT: Central District -- A stereo cassette player and several cassette tapes, all valued at more than $600, were stolen from a car in the 1700 block of N. Charles St. Sunday night. The car's rear window was shattered.

THEFT: Central District -- A radar detector valued at $200 was stolen from a 1980 Mercedes-Benz parked last week in the first block of S. Paca St. A window was broken.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a 1990 Chevrolet Camaro early Sunday morning in the 500 block of St. Paul St. and stole a leather coat and several compact disc tapes, all valued at more than $1,400.

THEFT: Central District -- A cordless drill, several hand tools, a briefcase, a saw and an electric level, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen over the weekend from a 1985 Mazda while it was parked in the 1600 block of N. Charles St.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Two women were arrested Sunday afternoon when they attempted to leave the Rite-Aid pharmacy in the first block of W. North Ave. without paying for nearly $30 worth of cosmetics. The women, who were arrested by a store security officer, were held overnight pending a bail hearing in District Court.

THEFT: Central District -- Magic equipment valued at more than $400 was stolen from a car parked in the 200 block of Waxter Way Sunday evening. A window was broken.

THEFT: Central District -- A laser detector, a radar detector, CB radio, VCR, TV, and a police scanner, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen over the weekend from a car in the 200 block of W. Lombard St.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 6100 block of Marquette Road was leaving the McDonald's restaurant in the 500 block of Franklin St. around 7 p.m. Sunday when she was stopped by a gunman who ordered her to give up her money. The robber, a man in his 20s and wearing a white jacket and red baseball cap, escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.

THEFT: Central District -- Two Philadelphia women lost their purses to thieves Sunday evening at Fudrucker's restaurant in the 100 block of Marketplace. The purses were hanging on the back of the womens' chairs and contained cash and property, all valued at nearly $100.

CAB HOLDUPS: Eastern District -- Two cabbies were robbed in separate incidents Sunday. At 1:25 a.m., a driver for the Royal cab company was robbed of more than $100 by a gunman at Eager and N. Eden streets. At 12:30 a.m., a man armed with a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun robbed a driver for the Executive cab company after ordering the driver to stop in the 900 block of Valley St. The gunman escaped with $100.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Paskin Place in Baltimore County was in the 1100 block of N. Washington St. around 1 a.m. Sunday when he was robbed of cash and property, all valued at more than $1,300, by two men, one with a handgun.

CUTTING: Eastern District -- A 15-year-old girl is being sought after she cut another teen-age girl in the chest with a sharp object during an argument Sunday morning in the 1500 block of Hoffman St. The victim, a resident of the 1500 block of Hoffman St., sustained a minor injury.
