October 25, 1992

A presidential election is not a national vote at all. Instead, it i a series of separate elections held the same day in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

With that in mind, The Sun's political correspondents have prepared a series of regional reports on the 1992 race. Jack W. Germond traveled to the South and Northeast; Paul West went to the West; and Jules Witcover covered the Midwest to provide snapshots of the presidential contest heading into the final week of the campaign.
