W. Md. names lacrosse coach

October 24, 1992

Keith Reitenbach, an assistant at Cornell the past seven years, has been named men's lacrosse coach at Western Maryland College. Reitenbach, who spent two years as an assistant at Washington College before moving to Cornell, will also be director of intramural sports at Western Maryland.

Reitenbach was a midfielder at Cornell, where he played on back-to-back NCAA Division I championship teams.

His senior year, 1977, he was the team's most improved player. In his seven years as an assistant to Cornell's Richie Moran, the Big Red went 60-34 and had two second-place finishes in the NCAA tournament.

Reitenbach replaces Mike Williams, who resigned after 11 seasons. The Green Terrors were 7-5 last season.
