Officials consider rezoning of parcel

The Carroll County commissioners are considering rezoning a half-acre parcel on the south side of Liberty Road about 650 feet east of Klee's Mill Road from "conservation" to "general business."

The county Planning Commission recommended against rezoning the parcel, which is part of a 94-acre farm owned by Mrs. Harvey M. Houck and Sons Inc.

The Planning Commission said that there was no mistake in the original zoning and that the neighborhood has not substantially changed, planner Bobbi Moser said.

Under county law, one of those factors must be proved to change a property's zoning.
