Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men robbed the Pizza Hut in the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive early Wednesday morning after forcing an employee to open the door by threatening a woman who was outside. After the men banged on the door around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday and told the manager they would harm his friend who was waiting for him if he didn't open the door, the manager complied. Inside, the men forced the manager to open the safe and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. No injuries were reported.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone broke into a house in the 1100 block of Druid Hill Ave. Tuesday morning and stole copper piping from the basement. The value of the piping was not known.

THEFT: Central District -- An electric drill was stolen Tuesday afternoon from Dreamland Inc. in the 1000 block of N. Charles St. A man carrying a white shopping bag was seen leaving the store shortly before the theft was discovered. The drill was valued at $50.

THEFT: Central District -- Nearly $400 worth of assorted hand and power tools were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Eutaw Place Tuesday afternoon after someone entered by breaking a window.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Phonograph records and stereo equipment were stolen Tuesday from the Murphy Homes Improvement Association in the 700 block of George St. by someone who entered through a door.

THEFT: Central District -- A wallet containing identification cards and $25 was stolen around noon Tuesday from an office in the 100 block of Water St. The property belonged to a resident of the 5700 block of Utrecht Road, an employee of the office.

THEFT: Central District -- A $50 U.S. savings bond was stolen Monday from a car parked in the 800 block of Hollins St. after someone entered by forcing the passenger's door. The bond was the property of a resident of the 5700 block of Loch Raven Boulevard.

CAB HOLDUP: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed a driver for the Diamond Cab company in the 1900 block of Ashburton St. around 3 a.m. Tuesday after ordering him to stop in the 3100 block of Edgewood Ave. The gunman, who entered the cab earlier, escaped with less than $100.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a car while it was parked in the 1700 block of Bolton St. between Monday night and Tuesday morning and stole clothing valued at nearly $250. Entry was by breaking a window.

ROBBERY/SHOOTING: Western District -- Cedric James, of the 2000 block of Garrett Ave., was shot in the left leg and hand early Tuesday morning during a robbery in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. After robbing the victim of $150, one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot him. Mr. James was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and admitted. His condition was not immediately available.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Druid Hill Ave. was walking in the 3100 block of Swan Drive in Druid Hill Park Tuesday when he was attacked and robbed of his property by several youths who struck him with their fists and sticks. The victim suffered minor injuries. Later, police arrested two suspects in the case and were holding them at the station pending charges.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a house in the 200 block of E. University Parkway Tuesday morning through a rear kitchen window and stole several pieces of clothing, a radio, compact disc player and stereo equipment, all valued at nearly $1,600.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A 1985 Toyota was stolen Tuesday from the 400 block of Hawthorne Road.

AUTO THEFTAUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A 1985 Chevrolet owned by a resident of the 800 block of Reverdy Road was stolen Tuesday night from the 1000 block of Upnor Road.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Two rooms at Shoney's Inn in the 1400 block of Bloomfield Road were entered between Monday night and Tuesday morning by someone using a key. From one room, the intruder took $400. It was not known what was taken from the second room.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Towson District -- Police arrested a 20-year-old resident of the 3900 block of Frisby St. in Baltimore around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday moments after he reportedly robbed the Crown service station in the 7200 block of York Road of $10 while threatening the attendant with a rock. When he was arrested by Officer Karl Schult, the man was eating a candy bar in the Royal Farm store less than 300 feet from the service station. From the Royal Farm store, the man was taken back to the service station and identified by the attendant. Police withheld the man's name until he appeared at a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone broke into vTC Parkway Machinery in the 2300 block of York Road early Tuesday through an opening in the rear wall. It was not known if any property was taken.

AUTO THEFT: Cockeysville District -- A 1990 Nissan 300ZX was stolen between Sunday night and Tuesday morning from in front of the owner's home in the first block of Victoria Falls Court. The car, with license plates WYF-037, is valued at $22,000.
