Baseball Bowie Professional Baseball Club -- The Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Orioles named Kenny Peyton as its director of ticket sales. The Baltimore native joined the Frederick Keys front office in an intern capacity last March.

Cincinnati Reds -- Named Gene Bennett special assistant to the general manager, Tony Robello senior adviser for player personnel and Chief Bender director of player development.

Florida Marlins -- Agreed to a two-year player development relationship with Triple-A Edmonton.

Pro basketball New York Knicks -- Waived F Terry Dozier (1985 Dunbar graduate) and G Gary Waites.

Washington Bullets -- Signed first-round pick F Tom Gugliotta to a seven-year, $17.5 million contract.
