Eldersburg man injured when car strikes tree

A 37-year-old Eldersburg man was injured when the car he was driving ran off Marriottsville Road No. 2 and struck a tree Saturday.

Steven Eugene Schulhoff, of the 6500 block of Sunset Drive, was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was treated for his injuries and released Sunday.

State police said Mr. Schulhoff was driving a 1982 Toyota eastbound on Marriottsville Road No. 2 on a curve when the car left the roadway and struck the tree at 6:55 p.m.


* Sykesville: Sykesville firefighters went to the assistance of Howard County to investigate a chemical odor in a building on Rover Mill Road at 9:05 p.m. Sunday.

A report of a fuel leak on Springfield Avenue required the services of Sykesville firefighters at 10 a.m. Saturday.
