Woman charged with prescription drug fraud

A Shady Side woman was charged with fraud and receiving drugs from forged prescriptions after she allegedly victimized several Annapolis-area pharmacies, county police reported.

Investigators said Tina Marie McDaniel, 31, of the 1100 block of Oak St., was first arrested Sept. 4 and charged with receiving painkillers Percoset and Tyloz with forged prescriptions.

On Wednesday, she was arrested again and charged with Medicaid fraud. Investigators said Ms. McDaniel passed 38 forged prescriptions between Nov. 14, 1991, and Aug. 18, 1992. Twenty-two of the forged prescriptions were paid for through Medicaid, police said.
