HCC math professor honored as outstanding HOWARD COUNTY EDUCATION

Ruby Kay Meyers, assistant professor of mathematics at Howard Community College, has been named outstanding faculty member for the 1992-'93 academic year.

According to Dr. Carol Copenhaver, HCC dean of instruction, "Meyers is an excellent teacher who always gives willingly of her time and effort to find innovative ways to help students learn."

A faculty member since 1984, Ms. Meyers teaches courses that range from developmental math through calculus and numerical analysis.

She serves as coordinator of the developmental math program and also chairs the college's Curriculum and Instruction Committee.
