Kings Contrivance: 7500 block of Murray Hill Road: Between Oct. 10 and 11, someone who may have used a slim-jim, unlocked a 1991 Ford Ranger and stole two MTX stereo speakers valued at $300, a $250 Pioneer electronic equalizer and two Snap-on screwdrivers valued at $20.

* 9800 block of Rainleaf Court: Someone broke a rear window to a 1985 Buick Century Oct. 11. Oakland Mills: Oakland Mills Road and Carter Lane: Someone fired a shotgun at a 1990 Dodge van between Oct. 8 and 9, leaving a dent the size of a softball on the van.

Owen Brown: 8900 block of Stanford Blvd.: Someone smashed the driver-side window of a 1992 Chevrolet pick-up truck on Oct. 8.

8900 block of Stanford Blvd.: Someone smashed the passenger-side door window of a 1984 Audi 5000 and stole a $100 black leather briefcase and a $90 Franklin planner between Oct. 8 and 9.

7200 block of Tallisman Lane: Someone used a rock to smash the front passenger window of a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice between Oct. 9 and 10.

7100 block of Lasting Light Way: Someone stole a $70 red Huffy 5-speed boy's bicycle Wednesday.

* 6300 block of Looking Glass Lane: Someone stole four hubcaps valued at $400 from a 1970 Chevelle Malibu Wednesday.
