POLICE LOG

* Ellicott City: 9900 block of Whitworth Way: Someone stole a $349 Trek mountain bike, a $50 survival kit, an $8 water bottle and a $17 bike pack from a front yard Oct. 8 or 9.

9200 block of Baltimore National Pike: Someone stole a $110 Excel auto battery from a 1972 Chevrolet Wednesday while it was parked at

the Chatham Mall.

* 3100 block of West Springs Drive: Someone entered a residence Wednesday and took a VCR.

* 3600 block of Sylvan Lane: An intruder wearing black gloves entered by way of an unlocked door Wednesday and attempted to take keys that were hanging on a wall. Nothing was taken.

* Brian Court: Two men were seen loading a shower on a light blue Ford Ranger at the Altieri Construction site Wednesday. A witness chased the vehicle. The shower later fell off the truck on Rogers Avenue.

* U.S. Route 40 and Normandy Woods Drive: A red 1991 Volkswagen Jetta with no tags was stolen Monday.
