Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Northern District -- Carlos Porcher, of the 900 block of N. Wolfe St., and Tysheen Stewart, an out-of-town resident, were shot and wounded in the 2700 block of Greenmount Ave. about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Both were taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where Mr. Porcher was treated for a gunshot wound to the left thigh and Ms. Stewart for a bullet wound to the right side. Police said they have made no arrest and added that they knew of no motive for the shootings.

SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- Damion Cooper, 20, of the 3800 block of Lyndale Ave., is listed in stable condition at the Francis Scott Key Medical Center after being shot in the upper chest late Tuesday night by one of two men in an alley behind the 3900 block of Chesterfield Ave. Police said they knew of no motive for the shooting, and they said they had no suspects in custody.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a house in the 2500 block of Woodbrook Ave. between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning through a rear window and stole stereo equipment valued at $830.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two VCRs and a purse containing money and personal items, all valued at $840, were stolen from a house in the 900 block of Harlem Ave. Thursday after someone entered by force.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man was robbed of several pieces of jewelry by two other men, one with a knife, who jumped him in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. early Thursday.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 900 block of N. Appleton St. of $260, a $50 watch and a beeper valued at $180 about 3 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of N. Fulton St.

THEFT: Central District -- A car owned by a resident of the 1600 block of Thetford Road in Baltimore County was broken into Monday while it was parked in the 100 block of W. 22nd St. Someone stole property valued at $65.

THEFT: Central District -- A 10-inch TV and a VCR were stolen Wednesday from a car parked in the 1800 block of Maryland Ave. after someone broke a vent window to get in.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 200 block of Waxter Way of $500 as he got out of his car near his home Wednesday night. The robber then used what appeared to be a walkie-talkie to contact an accomplice, who picked him up. The two sped off.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone broke into an apartment in the 1400 block of Madison Ave. Wednesday afternoon and stole a 19-inch TV, stereo equipment, and two VCRs, all valued at $2,700.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Two out-of-town residents staying at the Ramada Inn in the first block of N. Howard St. were robbed of their jewelry and cash Wednesday between noon and 10 p.m. by someone who entered their room, possibly with a key. The property was valued at nearly $1,200.

THEFT: Central District -- Three stereo speakers were stolen Wednesday night or early Thursday from a car owned by an out-of-town resident while it was parked in the 1600 block of Brevard St. Entry was by breaking a rear window.

THEFT: Central District -- Golf equipment valued at more than $900 was stolen from the trunk of an out-of-town resident's car in the 100 block of W. 22nd St. Wednesday night.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone got into a house in the 2500 block of Guilford Ave. through an open window Tuesday and stole a TV, VCR, power and hand tools, a bike, vacuum cleaner, compact disc player, discs, jewelry and other items, all valued at nearly $9,700.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered the front porch of a house in the 700 block of Melville Ave. Wednesday morning and stole furniture valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a homeless man Wednesday morning after responding to a burglary at Mariner Health Care in the 2700 block of N. Charles St. The man was arrested on the premises after he placed several pieces of property on a rear loading dock. The building is undergoing renovation. The man was expected to be charged with burglary.

BURGLARY TRY: Northern District -- Someone attempted to break into the Boy Scouts of America building in the 700 block of Wyman Park Drive Wednesday morning after breaking a window but fled when the burglar alarm went off.

THEFT: Northern District -- Lawn-care equipment valued at nearly $700 was stolen Wednesday from in front of a house in the 5600 block of Enderly Road.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man walking in the 600 block of Gorsuch Ave. about 11 a.m. Wednesday was attacked by a man who robbed him of his money and keys.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man stole a purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $30, of a woman waiting for a bus in the 4700 block of Falls Road Wednesday afternoon.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a house in the 5500 block of Lothian Road Tuesday and Wednesday by forcing the front door and stole a stove valued at $350.
