Police believe arrests broke up drug ring Thousands in cash, cocaine, pot seized

Police believe they have broken a Detroit-based crack cocaine and marijuana trafficking ring along the Route 40 corridor, after raids at seven locations at 6 a.m. Friday.

Members of the Harford County Joint Narcotics Task Force arrested 11 persons, including two from Michigan.

Bearing search and seizure warrants, the result of a 12-month investigation in conjunction with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division and Command Staff, Task Force members swept through residences at two Aberdeen locations, three in Perryman and one Edgewood location.

Seized in the raids were about a quarter-pound of crack cocaine worth $10,000, about three-quarters pound of marijuana worth about $1,800, and five grams of powder cocaine worth about $300. They also seized $12,526.

Taken into custody during the raids were:

* Gabriela Lynne Medley, 34, 200 block Perrywood Court, Perryman, on a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

* Algen Gerald Henderson, 25, unit block Puritan St., Highland Park, Mich., on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

* Antoinette Nana DuWhite, 21, 1800 block Edgewater Drive, Edgewood, on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and with being a common nuisance.

* Greg Townsend, 19, 1400 block Perrywood Drive, on charges of being a drug kingpin, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of cocaine.

* Kevin Maurice Woods, 22, 1400 block Perrywood Drive, on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

* Millette Elizabeth Chambers, 25, 1400 block Perrywood Drive, Perryman, on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

* Melinda Nickole Brown, 19, unit block of Aberdeen Ave., Aberdeen, on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.

* Michael Anderson, unit block of Aberdeen Ave., Aberdeen, on charges of being a drug kingpin, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and with being a common nuisance.

* George Walter Tildon, 100 block East Deen St., Aberdeen, on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and with being a common nuisance.

* Juna Valenpino Howard, 22, 100 block of East Deen St., Aberdeen, on charges of being a drug king pin, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and with being a common nuisance.

* James Lee Walker, 21, 6000 block Martin Ave., Detroit, Mich., on a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

No injuries were reported during the raids which were conducted by sheriff's deputies, State Police and members of the Havre de Grace, Aberdeen and Bel Air police departments.
