Foreign travel: The Foreign-Born Information & Referral Network (FIRN) is presenting its "'92-'93 Adventure in Travel" film series through March at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center in Columbia. "Brittany & Normandy" will be shown at 3 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $6, seniors are $5 and students are $4. Tickets also are available for upcoming films. The fee for the series is $20 for general admission, $18 for seniors and $16 for students. Information: 992-1923.

Flap Jack Fest: State Sen. Christopher J. McCabe, R-District 14, will sponsor the second annual Flap Jack Fest from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard County School of Technology at 10920 Route 108 in Ellicott City. Family entertainment and a pumpkin sale will be featured. Tickets, available in advance and at the door, are $7 for adults and $2 for children 2-14. Children under 2 may attend free.
