Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 2900 block of W. North Ave. was walking in the 200 block of E. North Ave. Wednesday afternoon when a gunman robbed him of $30.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Central District -- Police arrested two men and were holding them at the station pending charges they robbed a resident of the 700 block of W. Lexington St. Wednesday night of his property at gunpoint while the victim was in the 600 block of W. Lexington St.

THEFT: Central District -- A 26-inch 10-speed bike owned by a resident of the 1200 block of N. Calvert St. was stolen several days ago while it was left unattended in the 1000 block of N. Calvert St. The bike was valued at $200.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Brunt St. was walking in the 2000 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Thursday afternoon when she was approached from the rear by two men who robbed her of $422. Police said the money was inside a brown paper bag and the victim had apparently cashed a check at a nearby check cashing firm or bank moments before the robbery.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 2400 block of Linden Ave. of $360 while the victim walked near his home Thursday afternoon.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman stopped a resident of the 1300 block of Myrtle Ave. Thursday afternoon while she walked in the 1400 block of Wilmer Court and robbed her of $230.

THEFT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- A man was arrested early Thursday morning when he attempted to leave the Sanitary Food Market in the 3400 block of Wilkens Ave. without paying for nearly $20 worth of food. The man was being held at the police station pending theft charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Edmondson Ave. was robbed of an $800 necklace Thursday evening by two men, one armed with a handgun, while she walked in the 2900 block of W. Franklin St.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A man is being sought after he was seen leaving a house in the 900 block of N. Rosedale St. Wednesday carrying a TV. The suspect is reportedly related to the owner of the property.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A 50-foot ladder was stolen Thursday morning from outside a house in the 2500 block of Ashton St.

THEFT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- A security officer at Dollar Bill's in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. was arrested Thursday when he attempted to leave the store without paying for items valued at less than $5.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A 12-volt battery was stolen Thursday afternoon from the back yard of a house in the 2600 block of Lehman St. The battery was valued at $20. Police are seeking a known suspect in the case.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A 40-year-old resident of the 3000 block of Reisterstown Road was walking in the 2800 block of Reisterstown Road Thursday night when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun, who ordered him to give up his money. After the victim threw his wallet containing a small sum of money at the men, they fled. The victim followed one of the men before losing him around Mondawmin Mall.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Darryl Harris, 29, of the 5700 block of Narcissus Ave., was treated at Sinai Hospital Thursday night and released after being shot in the left hip while walking in the 5400 block of Reisterstown Road. Mr. Harris was walking down the street shortly after 10 o'clock when he heard a gunshot and then realized he had been hit. No arrest had been made.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two men, one armed with a semiautomatic handgun, robbed a resident of the 500 block of Scott St. of his wallet containing at least $50 Wednesday night in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway. Both men escaped in a van that was driven by a third man.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gold chain valued at $450 was stolen from a resident of the 6100 block of Parkway Drive Thursday by two men who attacked him as he walked in the 5900 block of York Road.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Three portable radios valued at $75 were stolen Thursday from the G.C. Murphy department store in the 900 block of W. 36th St. after someone broke a front display window.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A 1984 Ford Escort was stolen Thursday from the 2700 block of Maryland Ave. The license plates are XXM-947, and the car is owned by a resident of the 2700 block of Maryland Ave.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a house in the 3900 block of St. Paul St. between Sept. 22 and 26 and stole 60 compact discs valued at more than $800. The burglary was reported late.

THEFT: Northern District -- A radio was stolen from a 1987 Nissan between Sept. 30 and Thursday while the vehicle was parked in the 2300 block of Nutmeg Terrace. The value of the radio was not known.
