September 30, 1992

Baltimore police are investigating the deaths early today and yesterday afternoon of two unidentified men, one shot to death on East Biddle Street and the other an apparent drug overdose victim in Pimlico.

At 1:05 a.m. today, police responding to a report of a gunshot fired in the 100 block of E. Biddle St. found a man on the sidewalk bleeding from a bullet wound to the leg.

Police said the man, between 20 and 30 years old, was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died at 2:03 a.m.

Police said it appeared that the bullet pierced an artery and that the man died from loss of blood.

Investigators said they knew of no motive in the deaths and had no suspects.

In Pimlico about 4 p.m. yesterday, two teen-age boys led Northwestern District police to a wooded area behind the 3000 block of W. Garrison Ave., where they found the body of a man among abandoned furniture and other debris.

Police said there were no signs of trauma on the body. But freshly used narcotics paraphernalia nearby indicated the man may have died of a drug overdose. An autopsy was to be performed today, police said.
