Items stolen from Radio Shack

Someone stole $4,000 of merchandise from a Radio Shack store in the 1500 block of Annapolis Road on Friday.

Detectives suspect a man who had entered the store and told employees he was waiting for his daughter to arrive so he could buy her a computer.

He waited in the store for two hours; employees saw him leave several times and walk up the road, before returning.

Employees later noticed that a notebook computer, a printer, a portable stereo, portable scanner and a wireless microphone system were missing.
