Police Log North Laurel/savage

September 29, 1992

* Savage: 8200 block of Woodward St.: $5 in change was stolen from a vehicle Friday.

* Jessup: 8200 block of Patuxent Range Road: An alarm sounded Tuesday when glass was smashed.

* North Laurel: 9600 block of Barrel House Road: On Wednesday, a window screen was tampered with. The resident heard two men yell to open the door.

* 9500 block of Canterbury Riding: A $275 stereo was stolen from a 1980 Jeep between Friday and Saturday while it was parked. A glove box was also pried opened, but nothing taken.

* 9000 block of North Laurel Road: On Sunday, someone stole an $800 boat motor and four $170 fishing rods from a rowboat that was in the bed of a pickup truck.

* 9800 block of Washington Blvd.: Someone stole the rear Florida plate from a 1985 Mercury Marquis Friday while it was parked at the Laurel Thrift Center.

* 9600 block of Whiskey Bottom Road: On Friday, someone unlocked a door and took a wallet from a pair of pants.

* 9700 block of Covered Wagon Drive: Someone opened a window Sunday and took a fish tank and a vacuum cleaner.

* 9200 block of North Laurel Road: Between Friday and Sunday, several youngsters rode bicycles inside Laurel Woods Elementary School. On Sunday afternoon, several youngsters were seen on the roof, but fled when police arrived. Police charged three 11-year-old boys with the break-in.
