Not registered to vote this fall? It's not too late

The Arundel Improvement Association is conducting a final voter registration in the community.

The deadline to register to vote in the November election is Oct. 5. If you are a United States citizen who will be at least 18 years of age on or before the election, you are eligible.

Neighbors in Brooklyn Park and surrounding communities can register at the Elections Office on the third floor of the Arundel Center North on Crain Highway.

If you have not voted at least once in five years. you need to re-register. If you have changed your name or address and did not notify the Elections Office, you cannot vote until you apply for a new registration card.

Brooklyn Park home loses TV to burglar

A thief broke into a home in the 200 block of Bolivar Avenue in Brooklyn Park last week and stole a color television set. Michael White, 35, told police his house was entered through a side door between 5 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Sept. 22.
