Rain puts halt to several games

Yesterday's rain caused poor field conditions throughout the area, forcing the postponement of several high school events, including football games involving three ranked teams.

Forest Park plays at 1 p.m. today at No. 6 Gilman. Eighth-ranked C. Milton Wright will play at 7 p.m. Monday at Havre de Grace. No. 11 North County will play at 6:30 p.m.

Monday at Queen Anne's.

Three games involving top-15 boys soccer matchups were also postponed.

No. 4 Mount St. Joseph will play at No. 11 Wilde Lake Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. No. 7 Severna Park and No. 13 North County will play Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. No makeup date has been set for game between top-ranked Centennial and No. 14 C. Milton Wright.
