Paul Tully, political director of the Democratic National Committee, was found dead Thursday in his Little Rock, Ark., hotel room, authorities said. He was 48. A coroner said Mr. Tully appeared to have died of natural causes, probably a heart attack.

James Alward Van Fleet, a retired four-star Army general who led combat campaigns on D-Day, at the Battle of the Bulge and in the Korean War, has died at 100.
