Spalding students are honored

Archbishop Spalding High School has announced that 14 of its students have been honored by the 1992 Maryland Distinguished Scholar Program.

Finalist Amy Langville, who will be offered an annual $3,000 scholarship to attend a state college or university, and semi-finalist Nathaniel Chaudoin have been invited to attend the Recognition Day Program at Howard Community College on Oct. 4.

To be a finalist, a student must earn a 4.0 grade-point-average and an SAT score of 1200, or a grade-point-average of 3.7 or higher and SATs of 1360.

The program awarded honorable mentions to Kelly Bippus, Jack Brinkley, Erik Conrad, Heather Cornelius, Alice Klinker, Bridget Moon, Megan O'Brien, Scott Robuck, Annmarie Smith, Phillip Turfle, Meghan White and Jennifer Zaniewski.
