Peppard brings 'Lion' to Mechanic

September 24, 1992|By J. Wynn Rousuck

"The Lion in Winter," starring George Peppard, has been added to the season at the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre, completing the subscription series. Performance dates are April 6 to May 2, 1993.

Peppard, whose credits range from NBC's "The A-Team" to the movie, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," set a house record at Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre when he starred in the play there in January. Written by James Goldman, the play is a witty account of the tempestuous family of King Henry II. Other cast members have yet to be announced. Call (410) 625-4200.
