Man fatally shot on street in Pimlico

A 31-year-old Forest Park-area man died at Sinai Hospital this morning after being shot in the 5200 block of Florence Ave. in Pimlico.

Homicide Detective Corey Belt said Officer Edward Rigby, of the Northwestern District, heard a gunshot from somewhere in the area shortly after 11 o'clock last night and moments later received a call for a shooting at Florence and Elmer avenues.

He found the victim, Mark Reeves, lying in the street.

Mr. Reeves, of the 3600 block of Edgewood Road, was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly before 2 a.m.

Police said they had no motive for the slaying and had no suspect in custody.
