Nellie M. Bennett, 82, formerly of Mount Airy, died Sunday at the Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland A. Bennett, and is survived by daughters Patricia Whisner and Nancy Abrecht of Frederick; son Robert L. of Mount Airy; brother Clayton Smith of Damascus; sister Ruth Scott of Frederick; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call at the Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services are at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

George William Steger Jr., 72, of Pennsylvania, died Monday at Hanover General Hospital. He was a retired stock clerk for R.H. Shephard. He is survived by his wife, Marianna Ebaugh Steger; brothers Paul E. of Pikesville, Claud D. and Donald L. of Hampstead; stepmother Dottie F. Steger of Hampstead; sister Ruth Etta Reed of Hampstead; granddaughter Vickie Ann Roberts of Hanover; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. dairy, hog farmer

Taneytown

Richard Burtis Krug, 67, a dairy farmer most of his life, died Sunday at Carroll County General Hospital after a brief illness. He spent the last eight years of his life as a hog farmer on the Ellsworth and Franklin Feeser Farm. Predeceased by a brother, Ralph, he is survived by son Kenneth S. of Taneytown; daughter Patricia A. Boone of Union Bridge; sister Helen Eyler of Harney; brothers Roland D. of Taneytown and Harry G. Forney of Littlestown, Pa.; and two grandchildren. Services are at 11 a.m. today at D.D. Hartzler Funeral Home in Union Bridge.

Kenneth W. Goins Sr.,

was electrician

Westminster

Kenneth Wayne Goins Sr., 50, an electrician, died Saturday at home after an extended illness. A member of the Maryland National Guard from 1959 to 1967, he belonged to the Westminster Church of God, where he was on the church council. He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Goins; sons Kenneth W. Jr. of Boonsboro, Kevin E. of Hanover, Pa., and Keith E. of Westminster; daughter Shelly A. Passman of Westminster; and granddaughter Jenna Goins of Hanover. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at the Westminster Church of God, Route 27 and Lucabaugh Mill Road.
