Two-time winner Timely Warning is among the 201 horses that have been pre-entered for the 12-race Maryland Million card Sept. 26 at Pimlico Race Course.

An extra race for 2-year-old maidens at a mile on the turf has been added and a steeplechase race, inaugurated a year ago, also will be run again.

Midas and Baron de Vaux, runners-up to Timely Warning in the Budweiser Maryland Classic last year, also have been pre-entered.

The 5-year-old mare Brilliant Brass, a multiple stakes winner this year, is cross-entered in two races -- the Distaff Handicap, a sprint for 3-year-old fillies and mares -- and the Classic, where she would face males for the first time in her career.

Seventeen other horses also have been cross-entered in various races.

Among the repeat winners scheduled to run again this year are Smart Alec, Scottsville, Richard's Lass, Xray, Little Bold John and Make Azilian.

Such stakes winners as Ratings, Wood So, Silver Tango, Reputed Testamony, and Star Minister are also in the pre-entries.

Final entries will be drawn on Sept. 24, when the exact order of the races will be announced.

If a race draws more horses than are allowed to start, the final group of starters will be picked according to highest career earnings.
