Katz Insurance gives promotions

Katz Insurance recently announced the promotions of several company branches.

Maurice Williams, who recently became a licensed agent and worked at the Reisterstown Road branch of Katz Insurance, was named assistant manager at the agency's newest location, Sinclair Lane.

Also promoted were licensed agent Kimberly Lister to assistant manager at the Essex branch and licensed agent Susan Sable to assistant manager of the Annapolis branch.

Sales professionals are certified

Tina Marine, Manager of the Annapolis office of Shannon & Luchs Realtors, has announced that 27 sales professionals from the Annapolis area have been named Certified Buyer Agents after having successfully completed the Shannon & Luchs Academy of Real Estate's Buyer Agent Certification Course.

Those certified are: Tina Marine, Marie Okronley, Ed Kipp, Linda Corboy, Jon Phillips, Grace Platt, Dennis O'Mara, Mary Ellen Brooks, Dan Roper, Linda Bruening, Cathy Kamrath, Vicki Schauffler, Diane Jones, Katie Nagy, Betsy Scott, Chris Murchake, Judy Leichtman, Pam Goldberg, Wendy Hauss, Jacquelyn Brown, Janet Hannsz, Barbara Zietz, Susan Hale, Rick Avena, Grace Stella, Tom Rose, and Betty Hall.

Severn Land Trust hires director

The Severn River Land Trust has hired John Sherwood III as executive director.

Mr. Sherwood will manage the Trust's daily activities.

BTR Realty promotes Robinson

BTR Realty, Inc. recently named Paul F. Robinson vice president in addition to his duties as secretary and general counsel.

Mr. Robinson has been employed with BTR since 1985 and is a member of the American Bar Association of Baltimore City and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Chesapeake Chapter awards scholarship

The Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects announced that the 1992-1993 $500 scholarship winner is John M. Ehrenreich of Severna Park.

Mr. Ehrenreich is at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.

UPS honors 20-year employee

James Anderson, of Severna Park, was honored by the United Parcel Service for 20 years with the company.

Mr. Anderson is a tractor-trailer driver with UPS in Burtonsville.
