North Harford Hawks

September 13, 1992

Head coach: Fran Norman (19th season).

Assistant coaches: Barb Waite, Lin James.

1991 record: 6-6.

Returnees: Seniors Kristin Archer (G), Tracey Folck (F), Chrissy Pardew (F), Jamie Goodwin (F), Melissa Schreiber (F), Brandy Everett (M), Melanie Sturdivant (D).

Newcomers: Juniors Michelle Kriegar (D), Sara Scarborough (F), Kristin Murk (M), Rebecca Williams (D), Dawn Koslowski (D), Angie Kirchner (D), Jackie Bauer (F), Kim Moore (F), Allison Geczy (F); sophomore Katherine Ober (M).

Coach's outlook: "I expect the defense to hold up, because Kristin's going to be hard to beat. She'll be the key. The attack has turned out to be more potent than I thought. Our senior line will be fine. It's just a matter of keeping the ball up there with them."

Harford Sun outlook: Although she's only a second-year starter, Archer could emerge as one of the league's top goalies. She'll be tested early, because the Hawks are rebuilding on defense. Everett anchors the defense from her midfield position, but none of the backs played on the varsity squad last year. The Hawks should have enough scoring to mount at least another .500 season. Anything more will depend on how quickly the defense can learn to handle the varsity competition.
