Harford Christian Eagles

September 13, 1992

Head coach: Cathleen Reese (8th season).

Assistant coaches: none.

1991 record: 3-7 (independent).

Returnees: Seniors Jen Chatham (F), Rachel Evans (F), Sheila Patrick (D), Christy Shepherd (D). Sophomores Suzanne Akers (F), Esther Evans (M), Amy Watkins (F-M), Capri Ingram (D), Jettie Moir (F), Jodi Spicer (D). Freshmen Jamie Dougherty (M), Tess Wilcox (D).

Top Newcomers: Senior Andi Williams (F). Sophomores Melisa Bell (G), Jen Lowenstein (D), Toni Rauhauser (M).

Coach's outlook: "We don't have any playoffs which is not great for the girls. But we do play a good mixture of public and private schools and some schools from the Christian league that our basketball team plays in."

Harford Sun outlook: The Eagles lost only two starters from last year's squad and both were defenders. Reese is rebuilding that defense, starting in the cage where Bell will take over for the first time. Shephard is the top returning back, but most of the younger players are untested. Chatham and Rachel Evans should do most of the scoring. The Eagles may struggle against some of the Baltimore private school teams like Bryn Mawr and St. Paul's. But they should be competitive against Baltimore Lutheran and teams from southern Pennsylvania.
