Ozzy Osbourne atones for desecrating Alamo

British rocker Ozzy Osbourne, arrested in 1982 for urinating on the grounds of the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, has atoned by presenting a $10,000 check to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

The city instituted a ban against the singer following his arrest for public intoxication. Marjorie M. Hardy, chairwoman of the DRT Alamo Committee, said in a written statement following receipt of the check that, "In keeping with Mr. Osbourne's wishes, his act of atonement will not be turned into a publicity stunt."

Henderson admits to night out with 'son'

Verifying the story of the lovely lady and her teen-age television son, Florence Henderson told a news conference last week that she did go out once with the actor who player Carol Brady's oldest son.

Ms. Henderson, who played the mother on "The Brady Bunch," said that while she and actor Barry Williams went out on a date together, they were never an item.

Ms. Henderson was in Owensboro for yesterday's opening of the $17 million RiverPark Center for the performing arts.

Mr. Williams made tabloid headlines with the revelation in his recent tell-all book "Growing Up Brady" that he had a crush on Ms. Henderson and dated her once.

Tom Arnold gets rid of an annoying fan

Comedian Tom Arnold says he encouraged a fan to run onto the field and tackle Miami's mascot at last weekend's Miami-Iowa football game.

Mr. Arnold, recounting the incident later on "The Arsenio Hall Show," said the fan was annoying him by repeatedly giving high-fives during the first half and he just wanted to get rid of the guy.

"I said to my buddy . . . 'Maybe we can get [him] arrested. That way he'd leave us alone,' " he said in the television appearance.

"All of a sudden, [he] runs out on the field and just blindsides the mascot," said Mr. Arnold, an Iowa native and husband of TV star Roseanne Arnold. "They took him to jail, and we bailed him out."

Female impersonator likes Judy and Barbra

Impersonating singers Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand is not at all tiring for Jim Bailey, one of the world's top female impressionists.

He currently alternates his portrayals of the singers in the "Jubilation" revue at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J.

"I've done each for years. People say I must get tired of doing them, but the truth is, I enjoy them more as the years go by because they have come to represent two of the premier singers of this century; more and more people are recognizing that now and appreciate my portrayals," Mr. Bailey said.
