Parkville edges No. 13 Perry Hall, 8-7

Parkville High's Ray Bonincontri caught a two-poin conversion pass from Shane Eckels following Larry Duncan's 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as the Knights (2-0, 1-0) upset 13th-ranked Perry Hall (1-1, 0-1), 8-7, yesterday in a Baltimore County 4A-3A game.

Anthony Elliot led the way defensively for Parkville, making nine tackles and assisting on three others.

Patterson 27, Beall 14

Quarterback William McGirt completed seven of 13 passes for 139 yards to pace Patterson (1-0). John Sauer led the Clippers in rushing with 105 yards on 20 carries and scored on a 1-yard run with 28 seconds left in the third quarter to give Patterson a 21-6 lead.

Dunbar 34, Douglass 0

Dunbar's Kim Kent had 95 total yards and scored two touchdowns. Dunbar took the lead early when Terrence Hinton scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter. The Poets added to their lead when Hollis Roberts scored from a yard out.

Forest Park 33, Carver 0

Bilal Bahar scored two touchdowns and threw for another to lead visiting Forest Park (1-0) over Carver (1-1). Bahar rushed 17 times for 130 yards and B. J. Arthur had nine for 120 yards.

Mervo 14, Milford Mill 6

Ronald Owens caught a touchdown and had three interceptions to lead host Mervo (1-1) past Milford Mill (0-2).

Kenwood 33, Pikesville 12

Shula Ferguson threw three touchdown passes and Joe Cofield rushed 12 times for 139 yards as Kenwood (2-0, 1-0) defeated visiting Pikesville (1-1, 0-1).

Chesapeake 27, Patapsco 0

James Kelly rushed five times for 121 yards and Lamar King scored two touchdowns as Chesapeake-BC (2-0, 1-0) routed host Patapsco (0-2, 0-1) in a Baltimore County 2A-1A contest.

St. Paul's 34, St. James 0

Senior Ben Strutt ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries and Mike Watson carried the ball six times for 76 yards and two touchdowns as host St. Paul's (2-0) defeated St. James of Hagerstown.

Loch Raven 28, Catonsville 20

Junior running back Tyson Su rushed for 102 yards on 18 carries and quarterback Michael Brammer went 8-for-16 for 102 yards and two touchdowns to pace Loch Raven (2-0, 1-0) over Catonsville (0-2, 0-1).

Southwestern 6, Southern 0, 2OT

Senior Damon Kimbrough scored on a 10-yard pass from sophomore Terrence Wheeler on the first play of double overtime as host Southwestern (1-1) edged Southern (0-1).

South River 13, St. Mary's 0

Russell Tongue had a 57-yard punt return for a touchdown and Jaron Hairston scored from three yards out as visiting South River (2-0) defeated St. Mary's (1-1).

Northern 8, Curley 0

Northern's Sean Brannun ran for 125 yards on 14 carries, including a 55-yard run for the game's only touchdown in the second quarter.

Mt. Hebron 28, Hereford 14

After a scoreless first half, Mount Hebron's Masai Demus opened up the second half with a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and Mount Hebron added two more touchdowns in the third quarter.

Northeast 22, Spalding 6

Northeast gained 368 yards, 353 on the ground, to beat Spalding in a non-league Anne Arundel County game.

Severn 22, Southern (Harwood) 12

Jamand Mack rambled for 134 yards on 16 carries, including touchdowns of one and 20 yards as Severn (2-0) tripped homestanding Southern (Harwood).
