Honda -- Announced it will withdraw from Formula One competition in 1993 and focus on developing energy efficient cars.

Lotus -- Re-signed Mika Hakkinen for the 1993 Formula One season.

Baseball

Atlanta Braves -- Placed P Mike Bielecki (Dundalk) on the 60-day DL. Called up P Armando Reynoso from Triple-A Richmond. Purchased the contract of 1B Ryan Klesko.

Oakland Athletics -- Activated 1B Mark McGwire (.270, 38 HRs, ** 93 RBI), who had been sidelined for three weeks with a rib-cage injury.

Football

Atlanta Falcons -- Activated WR Andre Rison and CB Deion Sanders from the exempt list. Waived G John Buddenberg. Traded WR Shawn Collins, a 1989 first-round draft choice, to the Cleveland Browns for an undisclosed future draft pick. Collins caught 95 passes for 1,402 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons. He missed the second half of last year because of a hamstring injury.

Cleveland Browns -- Signed free-agent DT Alvin Wright.

Houston Oilers -- Activated DE Sean Jones and CB Cris Dishman from the exempt list. Released OL Mike Mooney. Re-signed C-G Erik Norgard. Placed S Bo Orlando on IR.

Indianapolis Colts -- Waived DL Mel Agee. Activated RB Ed Toner from the practice squad.

Hockey

New York Islanders -- Signed C Claude Loiselle and LW Brent Grieve to multiyear contracts. Announced that LW Derek King, LW David Chyzowski, LW Dean Ewen, D Uwe Krupp, D Gary Nylund, D Dennis Vaske, C Travis Green and G Glenn Healy decided to play out the option year of their current contracts.

Vancouver Canucks -- Agreed to terms with D Gerald Diduck on a two-year contract.
