Yes, Virginia, that is a decorated Christmas tree outside the Baltimore Sun building at Calvert and Centre streets. But no, the newspaper folks are not rushing the holiday season.

The tree is a prop in a movie that will be filming in and around Baltimore through Thursday. A film crew is scheduled to shoot a scene in front of the Sun today.

Directed by Nora Ephron, the film is a romantic comedy called "Sleepless in Seattle." It stars Meg Ryan, who is in Baltimore for the filming, and Tom Hanks, who will not be here, according to Betsy Sokolow, a publicist for TriStar Pictures.

Ms. Ryan plays a reporter at The Sun and Mr. Hanks plays an architect in Seattle, Ms. Sokolo said.

The movie is scheduled to open in the spring of 1993.
