W. Md. Green Terrors 1992 VOLLEYBALL OUTLOOK

September 06, 1992

Head coach: Jolene Hoover (third season).

Assistant coach: Jackie Hadel.

1990 record: 26-16.

Top returnees: Seniors Sandra Hoelz, Jen Staub; sophomores Denise Spangler, Krista Shaffer, Anne Plunkett, Carolyn Kelsey.

Top newcomers: Freshman Laura Everhart.

Coach's outlook: "We have a lot of parity on the team this year, so the lineup will be changing all the time. The conference looks pretty tough with Juniata strong and Franklin & Marshall with some people back. I see us right there with Juniata."

Carroll County Sun outlook: The Green Terrors are coming off a solid season in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. This season, they appear ready to challenge Juniata atop the conference. Coach Hoover has just about everyone back from last year's team, making overall depth one of the team's biggest assets. Sophomore Denise Spangler looks to be the team's top hitter, and Hoover is expecting big things from freshman Laura Everhart. Hoover is planning to use her entire roster. How quickly she finds the right chemistry will be a key. The Green Terrors appear to have the talent and depth to win the conference, but is Juniata ready to relinquish it?
