Baltimore City

ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- A resident of the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave. was robbed of a gold bracelet and two gold rings valued at more than $1,000 Tuesday night by a man armed with a sawed-off shotgun who stopped him as he walked in the 2500 block of Arunah Ave. Police later arrested Michael Stockton, 18, of the 1900 block of W. Lanvale St., and charged him with armed robbery. When police arrested the man, they recovered a sawed-off shotgun believed to be the weapon used in the robbery. Mr. Stockton was being held at the police station's lockup in lieu of $35,000 bail, pending a bail hearing today in District Court.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A VCR and a remote control device valued at more than $700 was stolen from a house in the 1300 block of Franklin St. after someone broke in through a rear window between Aug. 28 and Sept. 1.

CUTTING/ARREST: Western District -- A resident of the first block of N. Wheeler Ave. was arrested and charged with cutting a woman during an incident at his home early yesterday morning. The woman, who is known by the man, was cut on the arm but refused medical treatment. James Gray, 36, was charged with assault by cutting and was being held at the police station in lieu of $5,000 bail.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A gunman shot a resident of the 2800 block of Clifton Ave. in the left hand during an incident late Tuesday night in the 2100 block of W. Baltimore St. The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. of more than $30 in the first block of N. Pulaski St. early yesterday morning.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two doors and 13 radiators worth more than $3,000 were taken from a house in the 800 block of N. Carrollton Ave. between Aug. 19 and yesterday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Two doors, a bathtub, dry wall plaster and other items were stolen from a house in the 800 block of W. Lexington St. after someone entered through a second-floor window yesterday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A VCR, several checks and other property, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from bbTC house in the 600 block of N. Carey St. after someone gained entry through a rear window Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV valued at $400 was stolen from a house in the 300 block of E. 30th St. yesterday morning after someone entered by force.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Wall-to-wall carpet and several sets of window blinds valued at more than $900 were stolen from an apartment in the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle North yesterday after someone gained entry by breaking a window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A laser printer, a computer disc, typewriter and a telephone, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen from a General Electric store in the 500 block of Oakland Ave. between Monday and yesterday after someone broke in through a window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A bike valued at $200 was stolen from a garage behind a house in the 200 block of Goodale Road.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR valued at $500 was stolen by someone who broke through a window into a house in the 2700 block of Guilford Ave. yesterday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Dishes, a VCR and other household items, all valued at more than $400, were stolen from a public storage locker in the 4300 block of York Road yesterday afternoon.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV and a VCR were stolen from a house in the 400 block of Winston Ave. yesterday afternoon after someone broke cut a screen and unlocked a window to get in.

SHOOTING: Northern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of W. Cold Spring Lane was today listed in good condition at Sinai Hospital after being shot in the left leg during an incident yesterday in the 2600 block of Park Heights Terrace. The victim, Carroll Torren, 24, was shot by a man armed with a handgun shortly before 6 p.m.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A 70-year-old resident of the 3000 block of W. North Ave., was robbed by a woman of nearly $150 near his home Tuesday evening after shopping.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- A man was arrested Tuesday and was to appear at a bail review hearing today after being charged with breaking into a package goods store. Police responding to a burglar alarm at Upland package goods in the 4000 block of Edmondson Ave. entered the store and arrested Michael Campbell, of no permanent address. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Mr. Campbell was being held at the police station in lieu of $8,500 bail, pending today's bail review hearing in District Court.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone broke into Citywide Appliances in the 2100 block of W. Pratt St. yesterday morning and ransacked the interior. Whether anything was taken was undisclosed.
