Gryphon Associates adds more clients

Gryphon Associates, a fund-raising and capital campaign and management firm located in Annapolis, has added Baltimore Goodwill Industries, the National Air and Space Museum/Smithsonian Institution and the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls to its list of clients.

Annapolis architects get co-housing project

The Frederick co-housing Development Corporation has selected Hammond Associates Architects in Annapolis to design the first co-housing project in the mid-Atlantic region.

Co-housing is a cooperative living arrangement in which a group of families band together, buy land, design and build small houses clustered around a larger "common house" which they share for meals, child-care, recreation, crafts-hobbies, laundry, and to house overnight guests. The concept is relatively new to this country, but well-established in Denmark, Holland and Sweden.

Hammond will lead a team of engineers and architects to create the design, and final drawings are expected within six months.

'It's Good Business' features fashion show

The September edition of the Anne Arundel Trade Council cable television show "It's Good Business" features a fashion show shot on location at Marley Station Mall.

The show, called "Dressed for Success" features Trade Council Executive Vice President Jeanette Wessel and Marley Station fashion coordinator Lynn Cummings-Montedonico along with 15 Trade Council volunteers modeling fall fashions from Marley Station stores.

The program airs on Jones Intercable Channel 42 twice a week -- at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, and at 2 p.m. Fridays. Information: 757-6709.

Totally Golf opens new store

Totally Golf has opened a second location recently in the Woodbridge Center near Parole on Solomons Island Road in Annapolis.

The new location joins the location in Earleigh Heights in Severna Park in offering a wide range of golfing products and services.

The store stocks clubs, men's and women's apparel, and instructional videos, and periodically offers instructional sessions with local golf professionals.

New air-quality firm opens in Annapolis

A new company, Air Quality Management, has formed in Annapolis, opening a location on Cape St. Claire Road.

The company specializes in addressing the problems of "sick building syndrome" and other problems relating to poor indoor air quality.

Robert Blades, formerly a project engineer on the Navy's Trident Submarine program and an engineer for Rockwell International's Space Shuttle Main Engine Launch Division, heads up the new company.

The firm serves owners, operators, or property managers of office buildings, schools, industrial plants and retail facilities.

Party City store opens in Pasadena

Pasadena is the site of a new Party City Corp., a New Jersey-based franchise store that serves as a superstore for party supplies.

The new Party City store will offer a large selection of party merchandise at discount prices, including seasonal items such as Halloween masks and decorations.

The new store is located at 8131 Ritchie Highway in the Festival at Pasadena Shopping Center.
