Charlotte Kaufman of Guilford was awarded the Lucille K. Magee first-place prize at the Rehoboth Art League Show in Rehoboth, Del., for her work "Living on the Edge," in watercolor media.

Chris Gilbert of Berlin was one of two Jaycees chapter presidents -- out of 79 in Maryland -- to be awarded the President's Cup. Mr. Gilbert was recognized for his contributions to the Berlin-Ocean City Jaycees.

Brenda Weil Mandel of Baltimore has been installed as president of the NA'AMAT USA Baltimore Council, the Women's Labor Zionist Organization of America. As part of this volunteer role, Ms. Mandel will coordinate fund raising and membership activities in Baltimore to support NA'AMAT, WHICH IS THE LARGEST Jewish women's organization in the world.
