Tigers get jump on Suns in 6-2 win

LONDON, Ontario -- The London Tigers jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and went on to beat the Hagerstown Suns, 6-2, last night in a Double-A Eastern League game.

Ivan Cruz (2-for-4, two RBI) hit an RBI double and Tyrone Kingwood hit a two-run homer to give the Tigers (60-68) the early advantage.

Greg Roth's RBI single put the Suns (56-74) on the scoreboard in the second, and Brad Tyler's RBI single put the Suns within 3-2.

Tim Drummond (4-8) took the loss for Hagerstown. Steve Wolf (8-4) earned the win for London.
