Patuxent artists display U.S. 40 photos

An exhibit of photographs by Patuxent Photographers will be on display at the Howard Community College Library through August.

The exhibit presents the artists' interpretation of Baltimore National Pike, U.S. 40, from Frederick to Hagerstown.

Photographers included in the show are Roderick Barr, Maureen Bannon Bushey, Maxwell Strange, Clarence Carvell and Natalie Harvey. Patuxent Photographers, founded in 1988, enjoys exploring the heritage and landscape of Maryland and adjoining states. The members plan to continue their exploration of U.S. 40.

Howard Arts Council names new officers

The Howard County Arts Council has named its officers of the organization for the 1992-1993 year.

Michael T. Galeone, Executive Vice President of The Columbia Bank, was elected president; Sandra T. Gray, vice president, Leadership and Management of Independent Sector, was elected vice president; Steven A. Gershman, partner in Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman, was elected treasurer and Sherman Howell, management official for Federal Deposit and Insurance Corp., was elected secretary.
