Noreen Mary Bennett, Active at St. Philip Neri
A mass of Christian burial was offered yesterday for Noreen Mary Bennett, 77, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum.
Mrs. Bennett died Aug. 18 at North Arundel Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
A resident of Linthicum for 28 years, the former Noreen Mary Clarke was a homemaker and participated in various church activities as a member of St. Philip Neri. In addition, she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Her interests included reading, knitting and traveling.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan B. Lathroum, of Linthicum, and a son, Martin F. Bennett, of Baltimore.
Samuel Kelley, 79, Retired electrician
Services were held Thursday for Samuel Plummer Kelley, 79, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Linthicum.
Mr. Kelley, a Linthicum resident for 41 years, died Aug. 18. He was a retired master electrician for the National Security Agency.
A founding member of St. Christopher's, Mr. Kelley was a member of the Masonic Lodge (Howard 101), Scottish Rite, Shriners, Elks, and a 50-year member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling.
Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Marguerita F. Fuchs, of Linthicum; a son, Charles E. Kelley, of Pasadena; and a daughter, Harriet K. Starr, of Linthicum.
